I have mixed feelings about this. While everyone's individual pain management needs should be met, I am concerned that my students are prescribed opioids after routine wisdom teeth removal and that we should never return to the days when my son and his friend could steal from a vast supply of opioids prescribed to his friend's father who had a bad back. Both my son's friend and my son died of "adverse reactions to fentanyl" in the illicit street supply of heroin they snorted after the supply of opioid pills were cut off from them. (Larry Arata)
